ABSTRACT |
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the influencing factors on preventive behaviors for communicable diseases. Methods: The subject of this study were 359 students in university in GyeongBuk province from 3 March 2011 to 31 May 2011. Results: For preventive intention score the average of the whole subjects was 3.79. In the case of preventive behaviors, the average of the total subjects was 2.96. The influencing factors on preventive behaviors were self efficacy, preventive intention, knowledge, attitude, and susceptibility. The results showed that self efficacy and preventive intention increased preventive behaviors for communicable diseases. Conclusions: For the effects of the factors related to preventive behaviors, preventive intention showed the largest influence and self efficacy, knowledge, susceptibility, and attitude followed it in the order. |
