Effect of Bow Meditation Program on the Self-esteem, Self-efficacy, and the Happiness of Male Middle School Students |

ABSTRACT |
Objectives: The study investigated the effect of bow meditation program on the self-esteem, self-efficacy, and the happiness of male middle school students. Methods: The subjects were grade one students of a male middle school, consisting of 12 experimental and 14 control subjects. For the experimental group we administered bow meditation program for four weeks, three times a week. Survey questionnaire was used to investigate the students` self-esteem, self-efficacy, and the happiness before and after the program. The data were analyzed using SPSS PC 11.5 Program. Results: In comparison to the control group subjects, the experimental group subjects showed improvement in their self-esteem, self-efficacy, and happiness levels. Conclusions: As bow meditation program proved effective in increasing the male students` self-esteem, self-efficacy, and happiness levels, it will be applied as an useful intervention in promoting mental health and more productive school life. |
